The groom had New Zealand heritage and they wanted to make sure that their friends and family from Australia and New Zealand were represented in their ceremony🇳🇿🇦🇺 I can’t tell you how much fun I had with this. This is perfectly possible although logistically this can sometimes be a bit awkward. It’s worth asking yourself if you want the stress of doing the two things on the same day. There is no necessity to register your marriage on the same day you have your wedding celebration. Either way, I’m happy to give you advice on the method of your choice. EKKK!!! …I’VE GOT TO GIVE NOTICE OF MARRIAGE // in England & Wales, prior to your legal marriage ceremony, you will need to give notice of marriage. Don’t worry it’s very straightforward - no intimate questions about your first date or your partners first pet. 🐱🐶🐰🐹🐴🐍 Just 3 things to remember: 1/ book it in the area you live in (the local authority you may your council tax to) 2/ the appointment has to be at least 28 days before your legal marriage 3/ you need to prove who you are, your date of birth, nationality & place of residence. Make sure you read the email you receive from the registrars. The documents they will accept as proof are fairly restricted.
